Cecilia D. (Loewenthal) Rueda

        Cecilia D. Rueda, 98, of Cheesequake Village in Matawan, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Bethpage, New York.  She was born Cecilia D. Loewenthal on January 28, 1918 in Brooklyn, New York, and grew up in Queens, New York. In 1957, she moved to Lake Rogerene, New Jersey, and in 1963, relocated to Parsippany, New Jersey.  In 1983, Cecilia moved to Cheesequake village in the Matawan/Old Bridge area of New Jersey. Before retiring, Cecilia worked as an export clerk for a machine and parts manufacturing company called Cameron Machine Company.  

        She was predeceased by her parents, Louis and Elsie (Datler) Loewenthal, her sisters, Alice Curth and Elizabeth Louise Zinck, her first husband, George G. Hannan, and her second husband, Rex Rueda.  Cecilia is survived by her loving sons, Louis Hannan and his wife, Yvonne, of Whitestone, New York, and Allan Hannan and his wife, Diane, of Marshalls Creek, Pennsylvania; her cherished grandchildren, Lori Manalis and her husband, John, Linda Hannan, and Kelly Daley and her husband, Anton; her adored great grandchildren, Danny Manalis, Nicole Manalis, Elizabeth Hartnett, and Mya Abigal Daley; along with her very special niece, whom she always thought of as the daughter she never had, and her cherished nephew, Barbara Costello and her husband, Mike, of Seaford, New York. Cecilia is also survived by many other adored nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. She will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

        Arrangements were entrusted to the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3269 State Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.
