Catherine S. (Lenich) Baird

    Catherine S. Baird, 74, of Union  Beach, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel, New Jersey.  She was born Catherine S. Lenich on August 15, 1942 in Jersey City, New Jersey, where she grew up.  During High School, Catherine and her family moved to Holmdel, New Jersey.  On July 11, 1964 she and her husband, Robert, were married and began their lives together in Union Beach, New Jersey, where they remained to raise their family.

     She was predeceased by her parents, Carmela "Millie" (Donatelli) and Peter Lenich, and her dear brother, Peter Lenich.  Catherine is survived by her beloved and devoted husband of 52 years, Robert "Bob" G. Baird, her loving children, Robert "Bob" G. Baird Jr. and his wife, Marge, of Union Beach, New Jersey, John Baird, and Barbara Rice and her husband, Joseph, of Union Beach, New Jersey, and her dear sister-in-law, Rita Lenich.  Catherine is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Robert G. Baird III and his fiancé, Danielle Thorne, Megan Baird, Joseph Rice, Kyle Baird, and Ryan Baird, and her treasured life-long friend, Pat "Trish" Sheehan, along with many adored nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.  She will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

    Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, June 25, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM, and Monday morning, June 26, 2017 from 8:45 to 9:30 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday morning, June 26, 2017 at 10:15 AM at The Catholic Church of St. Ann, 311 Carr Avenue, Keansburg, New Jersey 07734.  Interment will follow at Shoreland Memorial Park Cemetery, Hazlet, New Jersey.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
