Carmen Velez Robles

     Carmen Velez Robles, 91, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Regency Park Nursing Home in Hazlet.  Carmen was born on June 19, 1925 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, where she grew up and spent the earlier years of her adult life.  In 1971, she and her family relocated to the United States, settling in Keyport, New Jersey.  Throughout her life, Carmen was always a very religious woman and loved attending church services.  She was predeceased by her parents, Emilio Velez and Juana Robles, and her beloved husband, Adolfo Mendez.  Carmen is survived by her loving children, Efrain Cabrera and his wife, Nilda, of Keyport, New Jersey, Gilbert Cabrera of Florida, Anna Maldonado and her husband, Jose, of Florida, Luz Santiago and her husband, Angel, of Hazlet, New Jersey, Carmen Morales and her husband, Chris, of Aberdeen, New Jersey, Adolfo Mendez and his wife, Wanda, of Hazlet, New Jersey, and Angel Velez and his wife, Sandra, of Keyport, New Jersey, along with 17 cherished grandchildren, and many adored great grandchildren, extended family, and friends.  She will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.

     Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and Wednesday morning, November 23, 2016 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A prayer service will be offered at the funeral home on Wednesday morning, November 23, 2016 at 10:30 AM.  Interment will follow at Shoreland Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Hazlet.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
