Welcome to the memorial page for

Arthur Costabile Jr.

August 12, 1941 ~ June 16, 2017 (age 75) 75 Years Old

Arthur Costabile Jr, 75, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away on June 16, 2017. Originally from Brooklyn, New York, he moved to Hazlet in 2015. Born with developmental disabilities in 1941, Arthur was a kind, happy soul who loved animals and music. During Music Therapy in the 1950's, he learned to play the piano and trumpet. His favorite pieces to play were patriotic songs. Arthur was an avid fan of the Brooklyn Dodgers and cried when they moved to LA. There wasn't a police show or western he didn't love; the Streets of San Francisco, Dragnet and Bonanza among his favorites. He had an uncanny ability with remembering dates of family events, often shocking those who did not know him as well as his family members did.

Arthur is predeceased by his father, Arthur Costabile, mother, Anna Costabile and sister, Jeanette Costabile. He is survived by his niece, Carolyn Broullon and her wife, Donica Basinger, his niece, Suzanne Broullon and her husband, John Britch, his great-nephew, Alexander Britch and great-niece, Madeline Britch. He will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  There will be a private burial service. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Guild for Exceptional Children (GEC), 260 68th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11220, www.gecbklyn.org, would be appreciated.
