Ana S. Berrios

         Ana S. Berrios, 93, of Perth Amboy, New Jersey passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 12, 2016 at AristaCare at Alameda Center in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. Ana was born on September 30, 1922 in Puerto Rico, where she grew up and lived until moving to Bronx, New York in 1965.  In 1970 she moved to Queens, New York and in 1994 relocated to Manhattan, New York.  In 2013, she moved to the Bayshore Area of New Jersey, and in 2014, she ultimately settled in Perth Amboy, New Jersey.  Before retiring, Ana worked as a nurse at a Tuberculosis Sanatorium Facility.

        She was predeceased by her parents, Tomas and Manuela Berrios, her beloved husband, Diego Rodriguez, her first born son Diego Rodriguez Jr. at 3 months of age, and her son, Wilfredo Rodriguez at 20 years of age. Ana is survived by her 11 loving children, Olrando Rodriguez and his wife, Sara, of Matawan, New Jersey, Ana M. Torres and her husband, Gennaro, of Columbia, South Carolina, Maritza Rodriguez and her husband, Wisbeling, of Aberdeen, New Jersey, Minerva Gamarra and her husband, Cesar, of Matawan, New Jersey, Laura Lin and her husband, Ambrose, of Laurence Harbor, New Jersey, Carmen Khadaroo and her husband Andrew of Tampa, Florida, Noel Rodriguez and his wife, Viki, of Youngsville, North Carolina, Osvaldo Rodriguez of Schenectady, New York, Eliezer Rodriguez and his wife, Rita, of Queens, New York, Lillian Rodriguez-Berrios of Matawan, New Jersey, and Janice Taylor of Salisbury, North Carolina. Ana is also survived by her dear sister, Monserrate Berrios of Cidra, Puerto Rico, her 26 cherished grandchildren, and 30 adored great grandchildren. She will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

        Arrangements were entrusted to the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3269 State Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. In respect of Ana's wishes, she will be privately cremated. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at 10:00 AM, at Jesus the Lord Roman Catholic Church, 123 Broad Street, Keyport, New Jersey 07735.
