April 16, 1936 ~ April 2, 2017 (age 80) 80 Years OldAna Maria "Grandma" Acosta, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel, NJ at age 80.
Ana was born in Moca, Puerto Rico on April 16, 1936 to parents, Damasio Colon and Mina Roman Perez and was one out of eleven children. She was a retired seamstress of over 25 years and had a passion for cooking, traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
Ana was predeceased by her husband, Joaquin Acosta. She is survived by her children, Milvian, Jack and Lisa, Tony and Evelyn, and William; grandchildren, Carlos, Michael, Milvian, Jack, Justin, Natalie, Jalissa, Anthony, Brittney, Ami-El and Ya-El; great-grandchildren, Angel, Elijah and Ayden.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday evening, April 5, 2017 from 5:00 to 9:00 PM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.
